The Mind is Lost in a Jungle

The mind is lost in a jungle

Where days cannot be told

The mind is lost in a jungle

And of its own accord it does unfold.

There’s sunshine everywhere

But no sight for miles on end .

The rain calms the heat

But sanity it cannot lend.

The mind is lost in a jungle

Of its own making and creation

It tries to find a path away

But its lost in a sea of emotion.

The door is in sight

But not the route to it.

The mind has no might

To turn towards it.

The eyes wander for help

But the mind can barely trust-

If a helping hand does exist

Or it will be like the world, unjust.

The mind is lost in a jungle

Where the sun shines in abundance

But a constant state of mangle

Is the reality it has chosen.
